 WOW! Wish you could have seen the rainy weather we have been having recently.
O.k, we didn't take video (forgot), but did manage to take a few photos.
Could have sworn that we had at least 3 waterfalls on our property over the weekend, a smaller version of the Marquis falls and at least 2 that could rival Concord....(o.k, maybe Annandale).
It has been absolutely POURING with rain! The funny thing is that you could wake up the next day and everything is almost back to normal already.....thankfully, the island is a bit hilly, so everything drains off pretty quickly.
Even though we live on a hillside, i can see the benefit of having flood insurance, especially if we get a severe rainstorm.
The dogs certainly were having none of it. Balu decided it was too wet to go outside (she might get her paws wet) and went back to bed! 
Yes, it is the rainy season, but you don't normally expect to have rainfall this intense. The weather seems to be getting more extreme each year.
One of the more unusual things about the rain storm we had, was that the winds were from an unusual direction. This might not seem like a big deal to most people, but when you are accustomed to having weather out of the east, and then you get absolutely plastered with rain from the west or south, you tend to notice these little things!There was also a lot of lightening.
At times, it almost seemed like a broken florescent fixture, as the flashes were so close together
Of course, the thunder was also pretty intense, with some of it sounding as if it were directly overhead, but the forked lightening was the scariest of all. You could see it striking all around..., especially in the sea. You certainly would not have wanted to be out in a boat while that was happening.
Other than a little flooding and some power outages in a few areas, you would hardly know that we had such a bad rainstorm.
Today...bright sunshine, cool breezes and blue sky.
