Adrian & Rahel and their twins
This time around i thought i would write about some friends of ours who recently opened their own business.

We have several dive shops on the island, but i thought that this one was definitely worth mentioning, not only because they offer excellent service, but specifically because it is the first locally owned and operated one.

We have known Adrian and Rahel for a long time and were glad to hear they finally got the chance to start their own dive business on the beach.

Adrian has been a divemaster for many years (in fact, when i started scuba diving many many years ago, i did my divemaster training with him).Lots of experience and one of the best natural divers i have known over the years. Its refreshing to see that he finally had the chance to open his own shop, after all the years of being employed in one or the other. He and his wife, Rahel, both run the shop and offer both diving trips and also day trips to the islands to the north.
They have twin boys, both the image of their father!
Done innumerable dives with him, including the famous Bianca C, and if you are wondering if i would recommend him.....then the answer is absolutely!
Rahel worked with a tour company for a number of years, so between the two of them, they know how to cater to their clients.

Sandy Island Grenada
What we really recommend is their Sandy Island trip, because no one else is offering it. Its a full day tour up the west coast of Grenada by boat, to Sandy Island (the one off Sauteurs, not the one by Carriacou).

Its the type of place you think of when you picture a Caribbean island in your mind....palm trees, white sandy beach and crystal clear water.

It may sound a little cliche', but that is exactly what it is. If you want a memorable way to spend a day, then this is a good choice, and you don't have to fly!

Yeah! We stayed last two weeks at hideaway apt. (Greetings to belle smilies/smiley.gif
and had a snorkel tour with Adrian around the isle with a picknik stop at the wonderful sandy island. We really liked that.
My wife was infected by the "snorkel and diving feaver" so with a little luck we will come back in two years.
Grenada is beautiful and Adrian's
Native Spirit Scuba is too. (I had a review course there )
