A busy weekend in Grenada

What we did over the weekend....

This weekend, we were quite active, and we made sure to take lots of photos to share with everyone.

Saturday we went to a hash in Victoria, at Tufton Hall estate. Fantastic hike through the old plantation and up into the hills surrounding. Some of the views along the valleys are breathtaking, and there was the added bonus of a pool at the river to cool off in.

Sunday, we went for a boat ride along the southern coast. Leaving the harbour, we passed a fancy cruiser (our dream boat) parked up at Port Louis.

Further along the coast, you could see the beach goers at the Aquarium for the usual Sunday barbecue.

We also passed by Calivigny island to see how the development was coming along.
While the resort there looks quite nice, I certainly doubt that it is complete, and there does not seem to be much in the way of construction ongoing, except for grounds maintenance.
The owner, Cohen, has been constructing this exclusive resort on the island for the past 8 years or more.

On the way back, we were lucky to see 5 of the F15's leaving the airport. I guess that Obama had already left Trinidad, so they were headed back with Air force 1.

Would love to join in on my visit this time. But I don't think my man could manage it due to having screws in his ankle. smilies/sad.gif

I always enjoy your visits and photos from around the island.
Time to trade up to that boat, Neil.
